Hello all,

Just wanted to know if I''m on the right track...I''m trying to educate myself with choosing the right asscher stone. so anyways heres the spec.

Carat weight: 1.09
Cut: Ideal
Color: F
Clarity: VS1

Depth: 68.2%
Table: 62%

looks pretty dark dead center.
If the crown height is real high they can appear that way in his pictures.
Need better pictures.

Your on the right track.

To explain my answer a little more...
That setup has a very shallow depth of field.
IE. very narrow focus range that can throw the depths of a high crowned asscher out of focus and make them look darker.
If the person running it focuses on the very top of the diamond it can make it worse.
This doesnt show up on rounds that much but can make a large difference on asscher pictures.
It is really hard to tell if its out of focus because of DOF or just dim sometimes and in this case I cant tell.
