Um...I think the pictures of this diamond ring are actually KILLING ME! It''s unbelievably beautiful! I can''t stand it! I love the Royal Asscher look-the steps are so perfect and there are so many! YUM!

I know I''ve already said this about 5 times, but my comment is: snap that baby up!

I''m with thing2of2 on this. The pictures are pure torture - I''m a huge Asscher fan, and will hopefully someday have a sizeable RA.

Please, buy this, and live my dream!

That RA is truly something to behold. All square emerald cuts aspire to look like it. Even in the faraway shot, I can clearly see the X! What a beauty

. If it were me, considering the overall cost, it would not be worth it to keep looking for a generic asscher to try to match the look and save $2K.

Thank you again to everyone who was part of this decision-making process. Don''t want to keep the suspense going... Yes, we purchased the RA and I am expecting to receive the ring this weekend

Today, I got the official material - GIA certificate and official RA certificate. By the way, the RA certificate came in a very fancy and thick leather folder. Perhaps that is why there is so much mark-up LOL.

As I indicated in earlier posts, I fell for this ring and just wanted to be sure of the purchase. It definitely helped to get some expert opinions from this site as well as doing my own research. Today I spoke with Lita Asscher, who is a 5th generation Asscher, today about the RA and some question I had. She seemed to be a very nice person who is obviously passionate about the RA.

YAY!!

And you know what is coming now...

PICS PICS PICS PICS PICS PICS. Please, please, please... please?

Hi frozengirl! I would have jumped on this thread earlier but I''ve been out of town. I absolutely love the ring - it is stunning! You are so lucky to have found a royal asscher!

My ring is a 2.20 carat generic asscher, also in H color, and you really can''t see any color in it, so I would go for it and get the ring if you haven''t yet. It''s gorgeous, and I can''t wait to see more shots when you get it home!

Yippee!!!! Heartiest congratulations!!

Good question. I''m thinking of wearing it on my left hand but not with a band until I decide what to do. I have a nice wedding band from when we got married, but it needs to be resized. Unfortunately, the intricacy of the band makes resizing difficult so I''m thinking about what to do about that as well. In addition, I would like to lose the weight I gained with my kids - my fingers have grown and maybe (fingers crossed) they will decrease in size! Perhaps eventually I will wear the RA on the right hand and the band on the left. Whatever finger it is on, I''m sure I will enjoy staring into the endless pool.

Hi Frozengirl!

Your new asscher cut ring is GORGEOUS!!! I am an emerald cut girl myself but now love asscher cuts just as much. I am having my EC remounted into a three stone EC ring and am having a dilema about the wedding band. If I were you, I would take your time and wear the new ring for a few weeks or even months until you determine what you want to go with it. It looks beautiful without a band! I think I am going to do the same and just wear the ring a while and then decide what kind of band to purchase to wear with it.

I must say that your ring is one of the most unique and beautiful rings I''ve ever seen. Congrats!
