center is way too dark on the IS and looks a little dark in the photo.
Pending more photos im inclined to say pass on this one.
There are brighter asschers out there.

Ask them to put it in a fake ring setting and shot it with there ring photo set up that would tell for sure.

I agree with Storm, looks too dark and a little dull to me.

Strmrdr.......any Asscher''s you''ve seen lately you think would be worth looking at???
THANKS

Whats your budget?

Corners and Windmills are a little small on this one but some like the look.
Everything else is kicken.

when I was searching for my asscher I found james allan had quite a few that looked great. they''ll be happy to get the stone in (if its not in their inventory) and take pictures, idealscope, and megascope images for you.

good luck!

My Budget is around 4000.00 for the stone.
I like it to be aroung 1 ct

I found these 3 on James Allen
Item #''s

863120
859577
862511

I don''t know how to link them.......sorry.still very new at this....
Do any of them look worth calling about?

Oh yeah and # 826666

I like this one nice asscher.. just a tad deep

this one is a J and the cut is just so-so - pass
http://www.jamesallen.com/diamond.asp?cid=130&item=859577

tad off square but it has nice patterns its in second place so far of the JA stones:

This one I need a better picture of but it looks nice so far.
The spinning picture isnt that great for checking patterns.
This one and the first one are the 2 id consider from JA.

Storm.... Since you are the asscher King I was wondering.....that asscher from JA (863120) looks dark in the center just like the one from WF....what''s the difference?
WF is going to take the ring pics for me tomorrow.

Here is the JA stone i question, scroll up and compare keeping in mind that the WF stone is about 2x brighter lit.
Compare different parts of the diamond with each other.
Both are drop style diamonds so they have the black in the outer edges of the center.
but the center is brighter in the JA diamond.

So Storm do you think that the WF stone is no good?.....
Bob has been really nice....
Got the stone in right away for no charge to me....
I hate to go with another vendor.......

I should probably tell you that I intend to use this stone for a RHR not an E-Ring.....
I want to get a custom halo setting or just a solitare.

ask me again after the other pictures are in and I can give you a better answer.
Right now I wouldnt call it a dog but it dont look like a top end asscher but I might change my mind with the new pictures one way or the other.
Doesnt hurt to figure out what your options are in the mean time.
You can always have WF bring in another one also if this one isnt it for you.

Thanks for the advise storm..we will see what tomorrow brings!!!

KT, thanks for the feedback on Bob. He is a great resource. He used to be a diamond grader and colored stone instructor for the GIA.

I can offer an additional suggestion here. Instead of just 2 dimensional photos, you might also consider making time to speak with Brian Gavin. Photos are of limited help, as these diamonds rely on motion and contrast effects that are only visible live. Brian can speak to you one-on-one with the diamond in-hand; you won’t find anyone with more expertise. He would go over all the particulars as he sees them, and answer any questions. Clients have found this immensely helpful with fancy shapes (and he's just plain fun to talk to).

I suggest this with any vendor you consider for this shape: Find their top expert who deals with premium diamonds every day and speak to him/her live with the diamond in-hand - in addition to any other input you seek.

Iv never seen an eyeclean si1 asscher and several vendors iv talked to say they never have either.

Here is the pic of the stone. They said they could not get a good pic in the ring setting.....

If they couldnt get a good pic in the ring setting its a pass its the best lighting they have for taking photos of them as seen there:

The new photo doesnt tell a thing.

My recomendation is that the JA stone is real nice, or have WF call another one in.

I talked to Isaac at Dimend Scaasi. He says the Asscher is eye clean. He sent me the sarin and a pic.
What do you think?
He does not have an Ideal Scope.

So Storm....He is too far away for me to go and look at it....
What do you suggest?

That is a good place to hide an inclusion in an asscher.
From face up it might just be eyecleanish to eyeclean, but at a slight angle dunno.

Do you like the small corner ,small windmill look?
