Hi all,

I would like to get opinions on the following two diamonds based on their details:

ROCK 1

Carat: .84
Cut: Ideal
Color: E
Clarity: IF
Depth: 66.7%
Table: 62%
Crown: 15.7%
Sym: VG
Pol: Ex
Gird: Thick
Flour: None
Meas: 5.41 x 5.26 x 3.51
L/W: 1.03

My concern with this one is L/W. However, it's about $800 less than Rock 2.

ROCK 2

Carat: 1.00
Cut: VG
Color: E
Clarity: VVS2
Depth: 68.3%
Table: 57%
Crown: N/A
Sym: VG
Pol: VG
Gird: Slightly Thick to Thick
Flour: None
Meas: 5.44 x 5.42 x 3.70
L/W: 1.00

My concern is that the crown % is unavailable on this one.

Also, should I be concerned about the size of these stones? I know Asschers can look a bit smaller than other cuts. Feedback would be appreciated. Thanks everyone!!!

Hi Cycoon and WELCOME to Pricescope!

I''m not an expert, but I know that it''s really hard to say anything about an Asscher based on a few proportions. If you look at the sideview on a cert, you will see that the pavilion has several steps and angles. All of those come into play when looking at how the diamond performs.

If you want folks here to comment, you should probably get Ideal-Scope images and ASET images. Actual photos would help also. You can also talk to the vendors, ask about the windmills, the concentric squares, the light return, the hall-of-mirrors effect, etc.

Unfortunately, it''s not as easy as Round Brilliants!

yea need pics...
Is there a reason your going for IF and vvs2?
A vs1 or vs2 would allow you to get a larger asscher.
