Asscher diamond - please help me find the right diamond

Thank you so much, I'm so grateful for all the tips and comments. It's amazing that there's people out there that spend their time helping poor chaps like me out who have no clue what they're doing!
I'll make sure to look at the diamond in different lightings, but bright sunny day might be a tad unrealistic, seeing as we're in London :)

Yes, they've told me that I have 30 days from the day of collecting the diamond to return it for a full refund or swap it with a similar one and pay or be refunded the difference, with no questions asked.
I've bought it (no idea where it is actually located, but it could be anywhere in the world!) and it should be in the showroom within the next 7 to 12 working days.
Awesome show us some pictures when it comes in...

Beware they are hard to photograph.

As a cynic, I would suggest getting a copy of the return policy in writing and checking your receipt very thoroughly to make sure it includes details like the GIA inscription number!

Good idea shiny!

I've never even heard of ASET images before, nor has any of the jewellers I visited mentioned them!

This is one of the great mysteries to me, or should I say, tragedies? I bought one of the ASET tools, the full size, take up space on your desktop model when they were first introduced by the AGSL. I then went back to the AGSL for a three day class on light performance and how to evaluate the ASET images as well as several other topics.

Judging on how well the ASET worked in a retail environment, I fully expected my status as the only jeweler in Idaho to be very short lived. I think it was close to ten years before another Idaho jeweler "saw the light" and got one. I still think every real jeweler should have at least one desk top model in his/her showroom, as well as a staff who understands what an ASET image tells them about a diamond's performance.

Although the vast majority of my work is now on the Internet, I still consider the ASET to be one of the most powerful showroom tools available. I am continually amazed at the lack of continuing education amongst jewelers. When I visit jewelers in other cities and states, it is exceedingly rare that one of them has an ASET, and almost as rare that one of them even knows what an ASET is.

The exception to this is when I visit a store that sells a certain top branded super ideal cut diamond. Every one of them has an ASET and uses it when showing diamonds. Every one of them has a continuing educational program too, as John Pollard visits at least once a year and puts on a program that AGS or GIA would be hard pressed to match about light performance in a diamond.

I get it that the chain stores do not want their staff to know too much about diamonds and gems, but I totally do not understand why independent jewelers do not make themselves the best educated and exciting jewelers on the planet. Oh wait, the good ones do. That is why they are successful in a competitive world full of luxury cars, trips, boats, wines and other nice things designed to take those dollars away from them. I guess what I really don't get is how the average ones don't seem to make any effort to earn the trust and then the business of their customers, who could become clients with just a little more effort.

Thanks so much for the tip - I'm a cynic myself so have asked them separately via email and got the email confirmation. it's also noted in their terms and conditions https://www.77diamonds.com/terms.html
4.1 We provide the option of a full NO QUESTIONS ASKED refund within 30 days of delivery. This returns policy is limited to a) all items where the diamond is priced below £25,000 excluding VAT (items above this threshold subject to refund within 7 days of delivery) b) items that have not been customized from their original state as displayed on the website (see 4.7 below). Please contact us to discuss this further, as management has the ability to waive these limitations on a case by case basis. In the unlikely event that the goods turn out to be faulty, damaged or different from those the customer ordered, 77D will make good the item free of charge or refund the item in full.

sorry to be daft, what is the GIA inscription number? I've got an order confirmation and also a pro forma invoice which quotes the below - is this sufficient?
