hi everyone, I had an option for a diamond but I was to slow and it now sold. Now I’m searching and searching and I’ve been having trouble to find one. If anyone can help me with some options, I’d really appreciate it. I’m looking for a round 1 carat, H, S1, of course eye clean. The cut is very important to me, so the best possible cut I can get is what’s most important. My budget is 5-5500usd. Thank you, thank you.

You may want to provide some details re color, clarity and cut that you are looking for. I’m not an expert but that’s what typically posters will provide before the experts chime in.

If cut is important to you, I would check out High Performance Diamonds, ACA and Brian Gavin. They have a very easy search function where you can put in your critera (price, carot, clarity and color).

Given that they are all excellent cuts, you'll be able to see what you can afford with a $5k - $5.5K budget. Keep in mind that these are considered "super ideal" cuts, and you'll be paying a premium for it.

If you're fine with ideal cuts (which are also spectacular), I would wait for someone here to post some links for you to view.

Also consider if you think you might want to upgrade the diamond in the future. Whichever vendor you decide to use, make sure you understand their upgrade policy.

This doesn’t make your 1ct mark, but comes closest at a bit over your budget:

Good news, is with the fantastic upgrade policy, you can easily take it over a carat in the future. If you can be flexible with color, here’s an I color right at budget if you pay by wire:

The listing states you should inquire if the stone is eye-clean, so I would check with WF - it may be borderline.

I’m not seeing a lot of options with JA, but here are two within your budget and parameters that may be worth checking into:

https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...h-color-si1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-4684042

These appear to have the best cut and reasonable inclusions that should still allow the stones to be eye-clean. You’ll want to verify they are. Both also have fluorescence, which I like, however, you’ll want to have the gemologist make certain they don’t cause haziness - especially with the 1.01ct.

If you go with JA, ask about the advantage pricing, which can give you another 3-3.5% discount. However, given JAs upgrade policy isn’t as generous as the super-ideal vendors, I’d personally opt for one of the two WF stones above.
