I’m curious what ASET images show on OEC diamonds? Is this ever done? I’m slowly learning how to interpret the images on the new diamond cuts. But is it useful on old cut diamonds that have the chunkier and less precise facets? I’m finding myself drawn to the old cuts more so I’m wondering if there’s a way to judge when looking online (other than reading certificates.)
I do not live in an area where I’m able to look at any in person so I’m trying to learn how to evaluate from online images as much as can be done

I’ve seen a few vendors include ASET images with their listings.
Here’s an older video that might help you interpret - but there’s indeed more info out there to be had

I think it’s a good thing to consider, but I don’t think it’s a be all end all tool. He points out the ASET is a static view representation. Not a real world moving representation.

I would hate to have my stones ASET done now, after the fact. I’m happy with what I see, but I do suspect the ASET would not be smiled upon.

Good luck and have fun in your search!
Plenty of folk here put up their preferred parameters, ‘flavor’, and budget and ask for recommendations.

Thanks Rfisher! That was most helpful. Particularly interesting to me was how they looked in natural light in comparison. The second stone really lightened up
