Very Good cut GIA,
Crown Angle 34.50
Star Lenth % 50
Girdle : 2.94-3.81,Faceted
Girdle % : 5%
Pav.Height % 42.00
Pav. Angle 40.20
Lower Half % 75

Opinions on the cut , its only GIA very good the real image shows dark pavilion mains . The pay angle/depth is the obvious concern but how do you think it will face up

dark in a ring
AGS3 predicted using the badly rounded numbers.
dark in an earring and maybe pendant in some cases also.
40.2 is just too shallow for that crown.

I don't get why the ASET looks good am I missing something?

ASET by itself does not catch obstruction issues like this one has.
Which is one of the reasons that you have to run a diamonds scan through the AGS software and not just look at it under ASET and rotate it to get a grade.

This is exactly why you will need to see the stone to see what it tells YOUR eyes. I am pretty sure that Karl has nailed this one, I would expect a stone with a 40.2 pavilion to be VERY leaky. I think with even a few degrees of tilt you are going to be seeing a nasty fish eye with this diamond.

good diamond to learn from. I love it when I get these anomalies in the lab too. :read:
