Hi all,
If you happen to subscribe to Lapidary Journal / Jewelry Artist magazine, you will find a fascinating article in the May issue written by gem cutter, Lisa Elser. Many of you know of Lisa due to her efforts as a gem cutter and merchant, but also with her efforts with the non-profit organization, Green Gem Foundation.

Her article has to do with the heat treatment process used on Tourmaline. Well done Lisa, great piece of writing and love the photos as well.

Thanks Roger! It was fun to test out the heating on samples, instead of keeping vigil by the oven over a gem that mattered
