great idea- I should ask for no salt added as well .missy said:One of the major problems with fast food (besides the other obvious unhealthy nutritional qualities) is the high sodium content. Most options at fast food restaurants are way over the daily allowance for sodium. In fact, this is true at many finer restaurants as well. Whenever we dine out I always request for the chef not to add any (more) sodium to my dishes and if possible to prepare my meal without any sodium at all as I am highly sensitive to it.
This is going to sound so silly, but I read the BEST road trip tip in a travel mag: Bring a head of iceberg lettuce to much on. Seriously, it is the perfect road trip snack. It's crunchy and refreshing, and for some reason, it fills me up enough when we're on the road that I don't feel desperate to stop at a fast food place. (Although, sometimes I just plain want to. And do.stephb0lt|1332162764|3151934 said:I rarely eat fast food - usually only on road trips where there aren't any other options! I don't really care for it and am not often in a situation where it's easier to get than anything else.

Why McDonald's but not Burger King? lol
It's funny - I wonder how many of us perceive one as less evil than the other? I always thought that BK was less unhealthy, but haven't looked at the nutritional facts to see if that is the case.

Cookies, ice cream, chocolate . . . but my number one weakness is just simple bread and butter.
Because BK has terrible fries, of course!MC|1332173964|3152055 said:Haven|1332050867|3151227 said:When I do eat fast food, I love Chipotle, McDonald's, and Jimmy John's. I NEVER eat Taco Bell, KFC, Wendy's, Burger King, or any of the other popular fast food places.

Dude I love Costco hotdogs. And the Very Berry Sundae.amc80|1332194627|3152346 said:I get the Southwestern Grilled Chicken Salad from McDonalds about once a week. It is SOO good for being a fast food salad. We don't have Panera here, but if we did I'm sure I'd get it once a week or so...I love that place. Although I put it in the "quasi-fastfood" category, same as Qdoba, Chipotle, and those types of places. There's also a chain called Daphne's, which is Greek quasi-fastfood. They are only in CA, AZ, and CO, but are SOOOO yummy. Great food that actually tastes like food. I totally agree with the comments on INO fries. Don't get me wrong, I'll eat them, but they are nowhere as good as McDonald's fries. BTW, going to Costco tonight so I'll probably have a hot dog for dinner. At $1.50, it has to be the best deal out there.

What if you eat hot dogs with both ketchup AND mayonnaise?!?Haven|1332203895|3152477 said:My DH loves Costco hot dogs and Home Depot hot dogs! He'll eat two of them while we're walking around Home Depot.
As Chicagoans, we proudly eat our hot dogs. No shame there. Unless you put ketchup on 'em, of course.![]()
hey at least you have pregnancy hormones that have needs. I just like food.amc80|1332197998|3152388 said:ame|1332197543|3152385 said:Dude I love Costco hotdogs. They are so good. I've never gotten the sundae but I've gotten their frozen yogurt and it's yummy. And giant. Just what this preggo lady needs![]()

Oh, and to answer your question: No. That is still unacceptable. No ketchup on a hot dog. I'm not even going to touch the mayo issue.
If you want a REAL hot dog that tastes delicious, put it in a sesame seed bun, and top it with chopped onions, electric green relish, sliced tomato, sliced pickle, sport peppers, and celery salt. MMMMMMMMMMMM. The only way to eat a hot dog, if you ask me.![]()
Now I really want a hot dog, thankyouverymuch.

I like fast food just fine. Don't eat it too often, don't really crave it. Having a Wendy's combo doesn't send me down a spiral of eating more. It's more a convenience. I can go months without it and don't care, but I also don't beat myself up if for some reason I find myself eating a bunch of fast food because life got in the way.
Unless you're talking french fries, in which case I do eat those when I'm out, just not too often while getting "fast food." I also do crave Taco Bueno when I'm home because it isn't anywhere else I live, and I'll get tacos and a MexiDips and Chips a few times during that week I'm there twice a year.
