Are these pearls real?

Been looking through old things and came across these, a gift my dad bought when visiting America 15 years ago

I did the teeth test and they felt slightly gritty. They have some gem like stones between them and the clasp says 14k in tiny writting on the side. The pearls look more button like and are around 0.3 -0.4mm? The luster looks more on the semi dull and they are mostly smooth.

Not sure if thet are the real thing? What do you think?

Real but inexpensive, I think. The "eggy" shape is typical of lower cost freshwater pearls.

Who cares !
I mean they sound real but something does not need to be highly valuable to be nice, pretty or enjoyable
they must have caught your dad's eye and the fact he brought them home for your mum is reaaon enough for me

I'd wear them
i love pearls that size
Its a very pretty necklases

Pearls like to be worn, they don't like sitting around in a dry environment
Get them around your neck and enjoy !
