Are these diamonds pink or purple?

So my engagement ring is finished.

I had selected some pink diamonds, that to me were clearly pink when they weren't yet set. However, once set in platinum, they are looking almost purple to me, instead of the pink I was expecting.

These are pictures, under different lightings, of the pink diamonds when they weren't set yet. Clearly pink, at least to me:

And these are pictures of the diamonds once set in the ring, that look purplish to me:

And it looks a pale lilac under a different lighting:

I haven't seen the ring in person yet, pictures and videos is all I have. I know purplish diamonds are even more sought after than pink diamonds, but I feel a little disappointed because pink is my favourite colour while I feel a little bit bleh about purple/lilac.

I feel stupid because I gave the ok to the pink diamonds, without thinking that them being set in platinum could make them look greyer, thus them ending look more purplish instead of pink. Almost all of the pink diamonds I've seen were set in rose gold, so apart from thinking that setting them in platinum could make them look paler, I didn't think it would alter the hue.

I've thought about asking the jeweller to exchange the diamonds for others that are more pink looking, but I'm also deadly afraid of them leaning orange, and besides, I don't feel confident about being able to predict how the hue will be altered once they are set. I also don't know if it be possible to do that without damaging the setting, and it would be a huge amount of work for the jeweller, which I feel guilty about.

I don't know, I guess I'm looking for reassurance that this one thing won't be always bothering me, because the ring is absolutely perfect otherwise.

Those diamonds look gorgeous either way. I don't think that you can tell without seeing the ring irl.

Please post lots of pics when you receive it. Hopefully you will love it in person!

I think the stones look fantastic (and pink!). Photos can be deceiving and all diamonds will reflect light and color differently when photographed. I think your ring is going to be gorgeous on your hand. Pleased post more photos when you have her and congratulations!!!

Looks beautiful to me! They look like the second picture you posted. Photos don't always match what is seen IRL so try not to worry. Please post pics when you get it, it looks gorgeous.

Do you think the pink diamonds could be replaced without damaging the setting?

Photos of precious stones can be very deceiving. You should reserve judgment for the moment that you see the ring in real life.
Additionally, pink is my favourite color since I can remember myself and I understand what your expectations were with these pink diamonds but I honestly tell you that even in the rare possibility that these diamonds look identical to the photo in real life, this ring is majestic and mesmerizing and I wouldn't ever consider touching it.
Please come back with lots of photos once you have it on your finger!!!

It looks amazing and it will look very different in person. It’s impossible to photograph coloured gems totally accurately especially in that strong spot lighting those pictures appear to be taken in. See it in person and be open to accepting its beauty rather than comparing it to an imagining you had — because they are truly beautiful diamonds.

I got videos with a different lightning and they look pinker there. I've given the green light although in retrospective, I wished I had chosen a lighter and pinker shader. Hopefully I'll be able to love it regardless.
