hi all
just wondering if the usa vendors might have a nice thanksgiving discounts to boost some gemstone sales =)

As of now, I know Gary Dutton and NSC are having sales.

MasterCutGems is having a sale on their gems - discounting their prices this week and adding a bunch of new stuff. He''s got more off-the-wall colored stuff, but that''s what I like and I''m having a hard time trying not to spend my money! haha

I already succumbed to a peachy colored spinel from Mastercutgems. Hope he posts more pretties while I am home! I have a bit of play money stashed.

I am going to need some settings!

This one, Laura? Stunning stone. Since it is a 6 mm round, any number of settings will work. I'm sure people here will love to help.

I've picked up a couple of pretties myself. The tsavorite cab and a pair of ruby pears. Yummy!

It sounds like there will be items posted all week. Enjoy!!!

He hasn't taken any photos yet, but will post when he takes one. I'm considering either a star cut or a round red garnet.

He lists his stones on a forum which I can't mention here due to forum rules. But you can email him at [email protected]

ahhhh i wish i have more money to spend on gems!!
so many other expenses to deal with !!

Thanks Makingthegrade...I would not want to abuse a forum rule, thought maybe it was one of the vendors on the sticky list at the top of the Colored Stone forum.

Happy hunting!

Laura

Funny you should ask!

Some great prices at MasterCut, I bought a fab Burma red spinel today. Also bought a finished piece of jewelry, which I almost never would do, my taste is usually not what I can find ready made.

Check MasterCut!

Dana has dropped more prices today and says he''s got a bunch more stones to post...best to keep an eye on his site, as he is cleaning out the closets.

Laura

I ordered this 5.5 x 6 mm neon tourmaline from Dana today. It is a smaller stone than I would usually go for, but I just love the color. It was very inexpensive, so it is a good way to check out a cutter with whom I am not very familiar. I am considering a bezel or semi-bezel ring in sterling silver. Probably a variation on the Tiffany silver stacking rings or the Lucida bezel.

I hope it is not too late to combine shipping if he puts up more items I like over the holiday weekend.

He is combining for me, lol! Very pretty color.

Laura

i havent seen any new stuff yet.

Must resist the 5.87 ct hot pink tourmaline and the lavender star sapphire.

And, many of those Burmese spinel are new to the sale. So are the bi-colored tourmalines.

Mark, if you have something particular in mind, just send Dana an e-mail.

Not sure when he''s going to post more, but in an email he told me has lots coming...maybe for tomorrow? Like some others, I''m checking every couple of hours to see what else he is posting.

Those are lovely indeed. And a matched pair to boot. I thought of buying them myself, but I am caught up with a few projects, so I had to pass.
