Are diamond prices only going up?

Seems like a lot of PSers have accepted this as the new reality. Do you believe that's true? Do you think it would still be true if we're in for a double-dip?

I'm seeing some small dips in stones I've been following on BN's inventory. I've only been following a few though, so it's not exactly a statistically viable sample!
