Ditto. I don''t care how comfortable they are - I refuse to wear them!Date: 3/29/2010 4:14:31 PM

I can''t speak to their comfort but I HATE how they look.

I didn't realize they were still that popular. I thought they were popular like, 4-5 years ago. I bought my dad a pair but he never wore them. My mom wears them to garden in. I have never owned a pair, I like flip flops for 'comfy' shoes and that's it. No Crocs, Uggs, or clogs for me, thanks!

You''re missing out Monnie! Danksos rock!
This skeeves me out! Not only is it gross to have partially bare feet in the kitchen, but it''s a health and safety hazard and violates all sorts of OSHA regs!Date: 3/29/2010 5:23:38 PM

Oh, and what are those little thingies that are sold that can be put into the Croc holes? Anyone know about those? ETA - just googled. . .they''re ''charms'' for crocs.
A year or so back, my kids and I went to Nordstrom first thing in the morning to get them new shoes. While in there, a mom with four kids was digging through the little containers of those thingies for about 20 minutes and then left. Well, I cannot recall why, but the next morning we had to go back in and that same mom, again with her four kids, was there that time too, digging through the containers. It was beyond the most bizzarest (is that a word?) obsession I had ever seen.

I don''t really know where to start with that one. There are other types of crocs besides the ones with holes in them, so your ideas of partially bare feet in a kitchen are often unfounded. Also, between the risks of sharp objects, food, and hot oil (among other hot items) falling on feet, it would be really stupid to wear crocs with holes in them (I believe Mario Batali does it regardless, But I don''t think he actually spends much time in his kitchens anymore) because it''s dangerous.Date: 3/29/2010 5:27:17 PM

I think that crocs are good for a quick slip on shoe, but not for going out, and like pajamas, shouldn't be worn in public.
