Are champagne colored diamonds a variation of YELLOW???

I am curious since champagne colored diamonds are becoming more popular, are they yellow diamonds but on a different end of the scale or are they in their own classification of color?

I found the answer to my own question. Champagne colored diamonds are a variation of brown! Can't say it is my favorite colored diamond, but interesting!
