Hello!

I know nothing about gems, but I looooove looking at everyone''s beautiful stones and jewelry...I have learned a tiny bit by reading through your posts, but I was wondering about this (because apparently the bar exam has not yet consumed every millimeter of my brain, which is bad), even though I have no wedding date set or anything of the kind...

my FI''s birthstone is aquamarine and I was wondering if there might be a way to incorporate that into an eventual wedding band...I will not be able to spend more than about $1,000 on a band when I do eventually get one, and I have absolutely NO idea how much aquas cost...I was just curious as to what y''all thought. (I may be WAY off base here on price, and I apologize for my ignorance if I am!!!)

My e-ring is a solitaire, white-gold, round-cornered modified rectangular brilliant stone...any ideas for a gal who knows so little?

Aquamarines are beryls, and beryls are not the most sturdy stone. I don''t think an aquamarine would stand up well to the everyday wear of a wedding band. Sorry! Maybe some blue-green sapphires instead? They are tough enough.

ohhh! I didn''t even think of that. Duh!!

Thank you, eac!
