I have never posted about my something blue from my wedding 14 years ago! I got this ring resized recently so I can wear it again, and so I did for Christmas. She is in an 18 kt white gold setting with .31 tcw diamonds. The aquamarine is an 10x8 mm emerald cut.

Wow gorgeous! Glad you are able to wear a treasured piece again!

I'm having an emerald cut aquamarine set as we speak to represent my sons birth this year, so I'm loving seeing any others that I can set my eyes on!

Lovely ring! I love how icy the aqua looks in white gold. Is she rhodium plated? Unplated?

Aquamarine in white gold always remind me of blue glaciers!

Lovely ring, thanks for sharing! :kiss2:

However, I am not certain if that is an emerald cut, sorry, as I cannot see any parallel facets in your stone.

DK :))

Thank you! I ♥️ that yours has such a special meaning to it.

It is rhodium plated, but I’ve never had to have it done because I have worn it only on special occasions. I imagine the jeweler had to do it after sizing it up for from a 4.5 to 5.5.

I’m not sure either but my appraisal and description say it is. What kind of cut do you think it might be?D6EC83CB-627D-4F01-9E91-E3EE890457D7.jpeg

Definitely a (scissor cut) radiant, as @Avondale said! Some folks describe anything octagonal as an emerald (step) cut. Anyway, I especially love radiant cut aquas. Enjoying wearing your "something blue" again!!

Oh thank you for that information. I am so happy to wear her again, but it seems awkward to wear her because she’s so glam for my daily style.

I have jewellery wardrobes just like clothes and accessories wardrobes, and my nicer and bigger pieces come out for more formal events.

It is a nice feeling knowing I have them even though they don't come out very often.

DK :))

I agree with DK! But I'm also sort of partial to wearing super casual clothes with big, bold sparklers. I just really enjoy the contrast of skinny jeans, an oversized sweater, and suede booties, for instance, paired with a disco ball on your hand (or ears!). I don't think we need to be attending a black tie event to bling that sh*t out.
