My ring is finally ready (haven't taken shipment yet) and I want to get it appraised for insurance/peace of mind. Do you guys have any suggestions for reputable appraisers in North Jersey? And how does the process work? Do I have to leave the ring with them (sounds scary!) or do I stay with them while they make the appraisal? As far as insurance is jewlers mutual my only choice at this point? From what I have read Chubb does not insure less than 200k though I have not called them yet. Here are some pics:
