Appraisals? Certifications?

i was wondering what a reasonable price would be to get a 3/4 carat princess cut diamond solitaire appraised. Also, is it possible to get this diamond GIA certified now? (it isn't already...) How much would that cost, and how would I do it?

Most appraisers charge a set fee for an appraisal. I have seen these run from $35 to $175. You may well get what you pay for. You can send the diamond to a GIA lab. Call GIA for pricing and turnaround time to find out the price.
