I''ve settled on a stone (more to come on that later).
The lab report came from GIA, but it was details in the Sarin report (crown and pav angles) that made it a real candidate. My inspection appears to confirm the quality of the cut, but I''d like a professional and independent verification/confirmation of the Sarin report details.
EGL runs a lab near my local jeweler and has offered to provide those details (a full EGL report + the angles) which will cost about $100. So...
Is that sufficient? Should I consider anything else? Since my jeweler has facilitated this special request and appraisal for me, should I have an additional independent appraisal as well? Will an independent be able to verify crown and pav angles?
Many thanks,
Jeff
