appraisal of EGL or uncertified stone for cheaper price over GIA cert stone

Would you recommend that consumers buy EGL stone then get it appraised, if matches what cert says, it's all that counts? makes sense. Mkt tend to favor GIA over EGL.

I guess I am only concern about resale in sense if i want to trade up in case orig seller is no longer in business, or I moved somewhere else, i'd have better time trading in w/GIA cert bc most stores believe GIA is accurate. True?

If it'd save me a few $hundreeds, I personally would go for it (having it checked with David of course). I'm speaking for myself only. You should do whatever makes you feel comfartable.

Keep in mind that you can always get GIA or AGS report later in case you'll need to sell your diamond.
