I have used Martin Sheffield - Independent Gemmological Appraisers

The address there is : 137 Rodeo Drive, Thornhill, Ontario (905) 731-4247.

The appraisal is done while you''re in the same (tiny) room as the appraiser.

I think I paid about $70 for the initial appraisal of the loose stone, and $35 to update it later on once set...
