Appraisal for E-ring Insurance

So my fiance and I are picking up my new reset engagement ring this weekend. Quest doesn''t provide any kind of appraisal for insurance purposes. I really don''t want to have a full blown appraisal either...so is going to an independent appraiser the only way?

You might try insuring your ring just off the invoices, for the actual amount paid.
