I agree with HollyS
People don''t leave when they''re in love. And nobody is worth chasing if they didn''t want you enough to stay.
My bad ex story is probably pretty common.
He broke it off and I just kept thinking that he didn''t really want to leave (there were external reasons) and maybe if I just hung on, everything would work out. We tried to stay friends, talking on the phone, meeting up for non-dates, which just meant that we were both tortured and I was an emotional yoyo. After 9 months of this back and forth, he came over for dinner one night and we ended up having a really deep conversation about how we had grown over the past year. I saw how much I had tried to grow emotionally and he was the same as he had always been and nothing had changed for him. It was my wake up moment and from then on, I broke off contact and moved on.
Looking back, I wish that I had had my wake up moment sooner
, but as they say, hope dies last.
