Is there anything I should be concerned about with this IS image? The vendor claims it is eye-clean. Is this a "classic" or "newline" diamond? Thanks for all the help you guys have provided!

As my screen name might indicate I have been very indecisive during this whole process and I have been looking at diamonds for months now. Just want to confirm that this diamond looks good to other people with more experience using this tool (idealscope).

By the way I am looking at setting it in a setting very similar to yours (but on a much smaller scale with the center stone being 1.05 ct). Pear sidestones in platinum!

Oh that will be awesome!!! You have to post pics when you get it. Nice choice!!!

By the way the specs are:

ACA H&A
Carat: 1.050
Color: H
Clarity: SI2 (eye-clean)
Depth: 60.6
Table: 55
Crown Angle: 34.7
Pavilion Angle: 40.7
Girdle: Thin/Faceted
Polish: Ideal
Symmetry: Ideal
Culet: Pointed
Fluorescence: Negligible
Measurements: 6.61-6.65X4.02

Only you can determine what eye clean is but chances are, it's pretty good, as per the vendor. I have a 1 ct si2 stone and I can't see a darn thing. Granted, it's set in a bezel pendant but even ol eagle eyes over here sees nothing. I'm sure it's a stunning stone.

Does the darkness of the idealscope image have anything to do with performance? I noticed that this IS image is lighter (more pink) than some of the other similar stones I looked at (more dark red). Is this just an issue of different cameras or is there a performance issue? What should I be looking for in the idealscope images other than the lack of white?

Thanks!

And I definitly will be posting pictures of the ring when I finally bite the bullet and buy something!

I'm the same way, been looking for a couple months, i have come close 2 times to pulling the trigger to only find out the stones were sold :) Grats!

the overall color between different idealscope images does not mean as much as the color variation within each image.
this one looks grrrrreat!

a word to the wise...good stones go fast. anyone who is considering a diamond should put it on hold. there is no penalty if you change your mind and you get the peace of mind of knowing that it won''t be sold while you are deciding.

I know how that feels! I want to know who bought this stone, I know you''re out there :)

It is pretty much the exact stone I was looking for, but by the time I got around to it, it was gone! Now, it''s even worse because I have seen the stone I want, and missed out, and now nothing compares. Oh well that''s what I get for being Mr. Indecisive!

Good luck!

Nope nothing for me yet
