I am looking for a new setting that sits up a bit higher. I don''t know if I want a cathedral or something with a thin halo? I have a beautiful princess cut 1.13 E color VS2 lots of fire but want a little more bling than my low sitting platinum solitaire.

Any help?

Thank you!!

Hi maddysmom! This was my second e-ring (long story, sigh) - a 1.03ct princess, F,VS2. It had a micropave halo and was very delicate. Hope this gives you some ideas. I''ll also post a pofile shot.

hey thanks blinky! Unfortunately, I don''t have that one anymore, but I just love that style.

I have a princess cut halo-

The middle stone is about .5 and I have no idea the other stats!
Clearly, it is the one on the left.

ETA, it's a RHR... It is so much easier to take pictures with my right hand!

Here''s the link to our halo thread. You''ll find all shapes there, but the first PC that came to mind is cindy''s.

Mine''s not a halo but it sits quite high and it really catches the light. If you really want a halo then I would definitely go with a thin one - I''m not a fan of them myself but to each his own

Here's mine. Not the best pic in the world, sorry.

Mine actually sits really low, but that doesn't seem to affect the sparkle factor.

ETA: Center stone is 1 ct, I, SI2; halo is .39 VS2, can't remember color.

Ok this is a horrible picture but at least you get the point. This is my custom made 1.12 sapphire halo. You can''t really tell but it is a square asscher cut sapphire that is a very rich velvet blue color. For some reason the picture makes it look navy but it is not anywhere near as dark as that. I love the ring set. I also have a matching eternity band.

Halos are a girl''s best friend....

I love that! Do you have a band with it or its split shank? I want something thin and delicate for sure.

Does someone have a "secret" connection? hehe That is the one I have been drooling for. There was one genuine setting on ebay and the seller was so nice, but my stone is too small for it--maybe some else with a 1.75-2ct can benefit!
