I posted about a month ago about unique three stone settings and how I already have the three stones, two halves and a one ct for center. Well I found the setting I like at Bailey banks and Biddle and of course I cant just purchase the setting through them which is understandable. So I thought of getting rid of the stones that I have and purchasing the ring from them. After much deliberation I like the stones I have and want to use them, but are now in search of a setting similar to the one at BBBs. This is the closest thing to it I can find for now and it will not accomodate the stones I have and the one at BBBs has bagguest in the band not rounds. I have looked at literally close to a thousand rings in the last week in hopes of finding something similar, but with no luck. HELP Please!

A lot of the online vendors listed here are used to doing custom jobs. Having a picture is a good start. Give some of them a ring and see how they can help out!

It sounds as though you are looking for a 3-stone, slightly antique-y ring with baguettes on the band. Is that right? I found these rings in my adventures online:

http://icestore.com/rings/ring_detailts.asp?ID=82

http://www.sndgems.com/engagement2.html

http://www.tacori.com

http://www.bigdiamond.com/store/details.asp?itemid=365135

http://www.wannabuyawatch.com/solitaireone1.html

I've found that these websites have a good selection, and if you don't find exactly what you're looking for, you may find inspiration or pictures that you can take to a jeweler to have your setting made.

Good luck!

These are rather different from yours, but you might want to check out the rings on this thread, especially the one on the bottom of the first page.

Check out Richard Landi... You can find the site address on the forum "Show me the Ring" thread by loves_chicagohills. ALso, you could look for a similar antique style setting (like fay cullen and antique jewelry mall)- there is a list of on-line vendors for settings in the FAQ section of the Diamond Prices and Grading.
Custom will do the trick, too, but it can take more time.
Good Luck!

Once again thanks for all of your help I don't claim to know much about diamonds but what I do I learned from this site. We are not necessarily looking for the antique style actually the BBB ring was the first that we have ever really liked but now thats what I am trying to duplicate. The less filament the better the main keys to the ring that we are trying to fine is three stone round, the diamond baguettes on the sides and the little surprise diamonds on the mounting. I aprreciate all the help. What does it cost to design your own I have no idea?
Thanks

it shouldn't be difficult to get the setting custom made. I was going to have my jeweler custom make a ring for me and the price he quoted was very reasonable, and he said it would take only 3 weeks.

Hi,
The following are also sites that have beautiful settings and do custom work:
http://www.diamondsunlimited.com/antique.html
http://www.tradeshop.com
http://www.jewelryexpert.com

The first one has many 3-stone with accent diamonds settings in the $1200 up range, and tradeshop, I've seen them feature with a 3-stone custom piece for that price as well.
You may also want to contact some of the designers that post in this forum, such as david emslie
Good luck!

Aha - so that's what you're after! Custom will always do the rick but if you want to get some ideas here are some three-ring settings I found (both happen to be Whiteflash in spit of many seraches) that have the setting stones - these rings can be customized to add sidestones at Whiteflash: THis is the U=prong

THis is the reverse double X prong - that would look great with sidestones on the band!

also - there's the Elara - I love it! I love FB and I loved the setting equally so it was pefect for me - I really liked the sidestones on the mounting and the really simple lines of the setting. Any of the settings can be fully customized at the Elara jeweler in your area. I just wnat to say that these rings are not as outragoeusly priced as it might seem - thye will work with you to get the right combinaiton of stones for your range.
Unless you go to the Tiny Jewel Box in Washington, DC where they will do nothing to help, not answer your questions, insult you, and try to sell the one mediocre ring they can't unload becuase anyone who knows even a tiny bit about diamonds knows it's almost theft to get what they are asking for that ring!

EDITED TO ADD: I can't post the picture so check out www.elaradiamonds.com. I don't know your stone preference but I was suggesting setting styles with mounting stones!

I looked at the Elara site and their three stone ring is very pretty it has a funky side yet still keeping its original classical look I could probably do that and have baguettes put in the side. Once again thanks for all your help!!!
