The GIA report lists this as a "Cushion Brilliant." I think I''ve searched almost every thread on here looking for a picture of this particular plot, with no luck. I know that cushions can vary greatly, but am hoping for a real diamond example of this specific cut so I can get a general idea.

Thanks!

to my knowledge (and I could be wrong) no one here has posted a cushion with that plot - it''s one of the more uncommon variations. It is also difficult to tell by looking at a cut diamond what its plot is - sarin information would be helpful to determine that.

First I would expect that grading report by GIA to be prior to October 2009, because it is incorrectly named Cushion Brilliant and should be Cushion Modified Brilliant due to the extra facets in the pavillion that alter its appearance from the original brilliant style.

Second I would expect this cushion to have smaller virtual facets than 4 main Cushion Brilliants and would more than likely give the "Crushed Ice" appearance. That is an assumption and doesn''t necessarily have to be true, but I have seen a few cushions with this facet structure and this appearance fit this description.
