I picked up a 24 kt gold mens ring that is of very interesting workmanship today. It is .60 ounce in weight and is really a joy to behold and to wear. I am having a hard time placing the crest. The rampant lion and unicorn are very similar to the Royal crests of both the United Kingdom and Canada, but the shield differs. There are also two fleurs-de-lis in the 1st and second of quadrants of the shield. The ring looks much nicer than the below pic taken under a 10x loupe implies. Anyone have any ideas on this rings origin? It has no English hallmarks and is stamped "24K" and also has what appears to be a longish serial number including numbers and letters on the bands interior.
