Anyone know about Bluenile''s apprasial?!?!

BN says that they provide an apprasial for you when you purchase a diamond. Does anyone know if they will send the diamond to an independent appraiser before sending it to you? How is their apprasial done?

The appraisal you get from BN is like any appraisal you get from any jewelry store. It is a letter
discribing the item you purchased. However, an independant appraisal is totally different since
the independant appraiser is not bias in his/her opinion nor have any interest in buying or selling
the jewelry, therefore, you are better of with an independant appraisal to insure the true value
of the market value of the jewelry you purchased.
