Anyone have a 3 Stone princess ring with total of 8 prongs?

Hello everyone,
I''m looking to get a 3 stone princess engagement ring made. But I''m having a hard time finding a picture of the type of setting I want. Here is the low down.
I want a the center diamond (1.25ct) and two side diamonds (.5ct each).
Now I want the center diamond to obviously have the 4 prongs holding it. But, I only want the side diamonds to have 2 prongs on the ouside. The inside of the side diamonds would be held in place by a noched bar that spans the center diamond prongs. (does this make any sense??).
This would give the appearance of there being no space between the center diamond and the two side ones.
I''ve been looking for pictures of this type of set up and have found some, but they were small pictures and difficult to see.

Does anyone have this type of ring or know where I can find good pictures of this type of setting? I''ll keep my search going on these forums.

You get the idea, even though it''s gold, has engraving, channel-set princesses in the shank, and a yucky CZ. There''s other versions out there, plain plat, for example.

Thats (almost) exactly what I am looking for.
Tonysgeko, is that a picture of a ring you have or one you found online? I am very interested to see a close up of how those side diamonds are held in place.
I just wonder if the bridge holding them is very obtrusive....

One other thing I am interested in finding out.
I am looking at getting a flat plat band (I''m thinking it will be ~3.5mm wide).
I want the band to be uniform all around, does anyone have suggestions as to what a good "thickness" would be?
I''m sure it''s a personal preference thing, but are there any girls out there with around a 5.5 finger rings that can chime in on what feels comfortable for you?
