I bought a ring from them for about $10k. They say they have a 45 day 100% return policy.

Turns out the ring was not true to its stone grading and will be sending it back.

I just wanted to know if anyone has dealt with them before?

They do have a A+ rating at BBB and 100% feedback on their ebay store.

I'll keep you guys updated on how it turns out.

Keep us updated- I've never heard of them...

Thanks. I will certainly do so.

I am certainly peeved that the stone is not what they made it seem to be. I was told its a F SI1 EGL-International. I found online before ordering that EGL-international usually grades 1-2 grades higher than what it should be, so at worst, it should be a H-SI2, which is still in the "near colorless" range

I took the ring to a few jewelers who showed me H VS2 stones (EGL-USA), and it was SIGNIFICANTLY different. First thing i noticed when I got the stone was it's yellowish tint which my family members and I noticed right away

I have attached a picture showing the difference. The one on the right is the one i purchased from diamondmansion. The one on the left is the H VS2 EGL-USA stone. I can notice a significant difference. What do you think?

I am just going to have that jeweler copy the setting and put that stone in and it's going to run me the same price, but I'll end up with a much better center stone.

Huge difference, the stone on the right looks very yellow. Would have been interesting to see what color GIA would grade them.

'Usually' 1-2 grades different is not the same thing as 'at worst' 1-2 grades different.

it looks like you are comparing two different 'types' of cushions? that's not a fair color comparison, the crushed ice cushion will show more body color (which may be even more apparent in a halo setting).

the other jewelers laughed and said they would grade it a K-L at best....lol

I understand...but before I bought the ring, I was told that they personally choose all their EGL-International stones that are truest to its grading. This led me to believe it couldn't be that far off......it was significantly far off

yep.the one on the left is a "cushion brilliant"...and the one of the right was a normal cushion. I had no clue there were different kind of cushion and I feel they took an advantage of me as a result.

I understand it may not be a fair comparison...but the stone on the right is a 1.51 carats vs 1.59 on the left and I will still save about $1000. I may be comparing apples and oranges, but in the end...it's all about the best bang for your buck. So I was comparing stones in that price range based on brilliance/sparkle...what the average non-gemologist human would notice with their naked eye ;)

clearly, diamondmansion could have given me a much better stone for the price. I feel ripped off.

Anyhow, I did get an email back today they will accept the return.

I would call ID jewelry and tell them you are from pricescope and what designs you have in mind and see what they could come up with in your budget.

Yes, I have seen EGL INTNl. stones that were 3 grades off in color. EGLUSA...usually just one color grade off.

Go to GOG and educate yourself with their videos on cushion cut diamonds. Best place to figure out what you want. He compares all types of cushions on his videos. They are great!

Welcome to the wonderfully confusing world of cushion cut diamonds! They are beautiful!

Yes, best to educate yourself before you purchase a cushion cut and GOG is the best IMO, I learned so much there. With your budget you should be able to find a beautiful cushion. GOG will help you to find one in your price range. Good luck.
