Anybody have a Whiteflash Color By The Yard necklace?

Hi! I'm thinking about getting a Whiteflash color By The Yard necklace...on their site, they have the diamonds by the yard design, but then they have diamonds interspersed with pink sapphires, and a version with blue sapphires. I've always thought how pretty they are. WF has quoted me $975 for 14k white gold with five evenly-spaced sapphires of 0.13 each. (Or $875 for five of 0.10, but I like the 0.13!) It sounds amazing...but does anyone have one of these WF yard necklaces with the coloured stones so I can see what it looks like?

Secondly, I asked for a quote with all sapphires, but now I'm thinking maybe sapphires and diamonds would look better...I have some sapphire studs...don't know which necklace would look best. Help! I do have a Tiffany DBTY solitaire and a DeBeers three-stone DBTY, so I'm not short of the diamond look...just, do you think that sapphires on their own without diamonds would look a bit dull?

The WF quote expires at 5pm tonight! They only give you 48 hours, and I'm recovering from flu at the moment, so I feel tired. I might not be able to make a decision in time. Bit harsh with the 48 hours, I think!

Maybe you could get the all-sapphire one and when you feel like you need diamonds wear your DeBeers DBTY with it? Or if you don't like the idea of wearing both chains, I would go with sapphires and diamonds.

I like the all sapphire idea... since I have collected a few teeny sapphire pears (unheated, not pure in colour but bicoloured in blue/green and yellow/blue) that I'd love to have put into a DBTY WG necklace

Several have blue sapphire DBTY necklace from WF, DBL, and BGD however you are posting the wrong forum. If you want pictures of colored stones you should go to that forum for requests. They are super quick there to respond.

I decided not to wait! WF is making me a sapphires-by-the-yard necklace, 14 white gold, with five stones of 0.13 ctw each, for $900.

So excited! I was worried sapphires would look dull with no diamonds if the sapphires were dark, but WF says the sapphires will be a cornflower blue, not a dark navy.

Can't wait to post pics...although it will take three weeks to make. It will be like this one, except all in sapphires, and 0.13 stones instead of 0.07 like this pic:

I actually do have a WF SBTY necklace that I bought preloved on DB a few years back. I'm not sure the ctw of the sapphires but the one thing that bothers me is that it flips but it has 14 sapphires.

It's 16" and WG and I love it. I can't get a pendant on it so that's kind of a bummer. I also have a gemstone BTY necklace in YG that I bought from Celli with a few pendants that also flips but I love it. It came with an amethyst, aquamarine, Peridot and citrine flowers

Vintage: Thank you so much for posting your necklaces!! They are lovely! Question: in the neck picture of your sapphires, they look quite dark, but in the pic of the necklace lying flat, they look quite light. Which one would you say is more accurate when you are wearing it in daylight?

Enerchi: Yes, it's exhausting being a public servant. I give, and I give, and I give...all to make Pricescope look as pretty as a Christmas tree! Oh - how nice that you have a collection of lil' sapphires, just waiting to make their way onto a beautiful custom-designed necklace...

Thanks so much I really DO enjoy the YG one the most. I used to really not care much for it since I am so pale-but then I decided I didn't care *how* it appeared on my skin I loved the richness of it and really LOVE LOVE LOVE the multi-colored BTY necklace esp. with all the different flowers to interchange on it!


Smith: The sapphire neck shot straight on was taken in my old apt. bathroom in some *very* bad lighting. The one lying down on the white paper was taken at the apt. near the window to get a direct sunlight image. I have one more that is a bad angle but I'll post it so you can see what outside and cloudy appears like. I don't view it when it's on my neck so I can't answer the ? really all that accurately but I do know it's not THAT dark in the sunlight but can't fully say since I can't look at my neck when I'm wearing it

It is lighter than the darker picture but I don't think as light as on the white background-some place inbetween.

I think that the sapphire DBTY necklace is very versatile and goes with many colors in your wardrobe IMO. I wear a lot of sapphire jewelry and it is almost like a neutral I think. At least for me. I think you are going to be very pleased with your necklace Smith!

I honestly have zero clue on how big the stones are on either necklace although the gemstone YG appear to be bigger then the sapphires. The YG one gets more wear then my sapphire one-although I used to wear it (especially layered) often.

While I love jewelry my lifestyle isn't really that suited to have the pieces that I do in my collection. I've often considered selling it all since I mostly wear it to church so some pieces get work only once a week-if not less. I never wear earrings/necklaces during the week since I'm at home all day. When I did go places I did reach for my SBTY quite often-but I'm finding my GBTY matches more things I currently wear although I do certainly wear my sapphire one still when it looks best.
