I know my girlfriend (soon to be fiancee) would love this setting. I'd prefer to get my diamond and setting at a physical store (even if I order it online). Is there anything that could/should be adjusted with the diamond to get a better value? I'm not sure where the happy balance is for a diamond >.75 carat in terms of the remaining three C's for about $2,500?

Not a well cut stone. The diamond is cut too deep!..

That stone is terrible. And the head of the setting is just asking to snap off the minute she hits it somewhere with any force. Plus its too thin and will warp. Budget is around: 3200 PLUS tax including the setting. Okay. I can work with that. JA is having a Valentine's Day sale of 15% off the setting.

Just trust us, and buy this, even though it is online. You will be pleased.

I would discourage you from purchasing from Shaneco. Listen to Gypsy's advise - she knows what she's talking about. You'll get a much better diamond and setting with her advise. Good luck.
