Any thoughts on the Petite Pave Cathedral Setting from Blue Nile?

I have a .78 point E-ideal-round diamond and I was thinking about getting it set on the Petite Pave Cathedral Setting from Blue Nile

With it being new at Blue Nile I was wondering what your thoughts are on the setting. My reasons for choosing this one are

1) I want the diamond to pop out and I figure with the smaller band and the cathedral setting this would be a good choice
2) I like the pave and I think it will complement the center diamond well
3) Blue Nile has a good price for this setting (they also have a promo right now for 10% off)

I did some searches and the closes thing I could find is the whiteflash petite cathedral. If it looks anything like that one then I think it should look great. I think it is a very pretty setting and should make a .78 stone really pop since it is on the petite side. I

I love that setting. I got my ER from BN as well. I chose the petite trellis setting. I think the fact that you have the tiny side stones helps to support the beautiful round diamond you will have as the center piece. I think its an excellent choice.

I heard on here that BN does not sell their settings separately. I think same for whiteflash. Is this still true? I am VERY VERY interested on a setting they have as well as it is my dream setting but wanted to get my diamonds some place else. If this is possible, that will make my day. Have you contacted them yet timothy?

nkarma: I actually purchased the diamond through Blue Nile so getting the setting wasn''t a problem for me. When I called them, however, unfortunately one of the first things they said was they can only set diamonds purchased from their website.

Also, when I click on the setting I want, at the bottom there is a little disclaimer reading "This setting available only with purchase of a diamond." Not sure if this is true with all of their settings but it''s worth checking into. Good luck!
