First time posting, but been reading up on the forums for a while. I'm looking for an oval diamond around 1.3-1.5 ct, color G or higher, VS1 or higher (budget around 12K plus or minus 1K). I'm trying to focus on cut, but it's harder with ovals than rounds because it seems like the guidelines for an excellent cut and light return are less specific. In my search, I've been following the cut guidelines here (https://www.diamonds.pro/education/oval-cut/)
After doing some research and evaluating things on a combination of rare carat and james allen, I've come across the following two stones which seem like reasonable options:

It seems to me like the first diamond is much better value for money, but I was wondering if I was missing something obvious in the videos. I've asked for ASET images, and we'll see if I'm able to get those. But in the interim, I'd be very grateful if you could give me your thoughts.
