vc10um - Thanks for thinking of us. I'm hoping everyone is ok. My husband works on the Plaza and didn't even know there was an explosion until I called to see if he was ok. I have a lot of friends that work in that area, so I'm hoping they report in soon.

All of us in my office were standing at the windows (I work downtown) and could see tons of smoke in the air. Last I heard 10 people were injured, but no fatalities. Crazy!

Thanks for checking in! I heard the same about the victims, mostly laceration injuries from broken glass, though it sounds as if at least two of the injured did have burns. Glad to hear you are safe, OF and I hope that you and D*J still get to enjoy lunch tomorrow. (And next time you to go Jack Stack, have a mushroom cap and some beef burnt ends for me!)

I hope they recover quickly. I'm sure that was a really traumatic event. Lots of information coming in constantly, but nothing concrete. My coworker keeps updating me of the latest on Twitter.

OMG, I love their burn ends... and especially cheesy corn. We had our rehearsal dinner at Jack Stack. Now I'm hungry!

VC, thanks for checking on OneFifty and me! The explosion was about two blocks from my apartment and it literally shook the pictures on the walls! I was half way through a mock tax return problem, so I went out on the balcony and looked around but then just came back in and started my homework again. Until OneFifty texted me I had no idea what had happened. There are helicoptors all over the Plaza area right now and I can see lights down there. It looks like the buildig is pretty much gone...

I thought you were close to there...I didn't know you were THAT close! Crazy. Glad to hear you're also okay.

My wedding photographer's husband works just down the street which is how I heard about it in the first place. Oh, and OF, we had our wedding reception at Jack Stack's Private Dining Room in Martin City. Definitely the best food I've ever eaten at a wedding reception!!!

Enerchi, you're practically in our backyard! My cousin lives in Ottawa and she and her husband come to Toronto at least every three months - 5 hours for them. They spend 2 or 3 nights at the Sheraton right downtown and we drive to meet them for dinner and a show (live entertainment) on one of those nights.

Glitz, gailey, charmypoo and myself are all in the GTA. I'm about an hour and a bit out of the city towards lake simcoe.

I've posted for Toronto G2G but we haven't been able to make one work.

I've met Glitz a few times (she actually came to my baby shower) and I've met gailey once a couple years ago-but I haven't seen her post much.
