Any ideas on price for a 3.01ct Fancy Yellow?

Hi,

I have a ring I want to auction but I have no idea on the price of the center stone. Can you guys give me an estimate on retail value for this stone?

I think you might have to take it to an appraiser to get an idea. If you look under the "Resources" pulldown you can find a list of
appraisers. Talk to them first and send pictures to make sure that they can actually help you. Good luck!

Hi Paul,
A few key issues you will face:
1) CLEAN THE RING
It's probably a lot nicer than the picture indicates- the center stone needs a thorough cleaning.

2) The HRD report is not an acceptable report for a fancy colored diamond, especially in the US.
It might be worth your while to remove the stone from the setting ( great tim,e to get that gunk off the back) and send it to GIA.

Yeah, it's been collecting dust for a while.

GIA is the best option but I am in Europe. Gotta check if GIA has an EU lab.
