Hi all, so I have started looking at engagement rings and now everythings starting to all blur into one, every ring is starting to look the same etc.

I went into Ernest Jones the other day and they currently have 20% off all their rings. Just wondered what peoples opinion was of the following ring as there are no reviews:

http://www.hsamuel.co.uk/webstore/d/3617548/the+forever+diamond+18ct+white+gold+2%2f5+carat+ring/?cmCat=OVM

I saw it in the shop and it looked really nice especially for the price of £800, im just sceptical because it says it was £2000 and now reduced to £1000 and then with the 20% off it seems too much of a bargain.

Any thoughts etc would be great.

You'll likely get more replies if you move this to rocky talky (report concern on top corner of your post, request it there).

So, looking at the ring, it is 0.4 ctw - which means that the center diamond must be 0.2 or 0.3, and the melee makes up the rest. There is no colour or clarity listed that I can see, which likely means it's a lower colour and highly included.
You could get something like this for the same price:

or
http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/0.36-carat-h-color-si1-clarity-ideal-cut-sku-550344

with this setting

http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/pave/18k-white-gold-thin-french-cut-pave-set-diamond-engagement-ring-item-289

This lands you between 842GBP-884GBP. You have so many options, you can really get some nice diamonds at great prices online.
