Hello, Im Joseph and are new to the forum, and we are looking for any advice on these cut unpolished blue Sapphires. Any help is appreciated. Both are over 6carat I believe. We purchased them from a company out of jaipur, india. I don't know much about them and really need some guidance. They were sold to us as natural and enhanced. That's really all we know. Thanks

They look dyed and full of fissures. I hope you didn’t pay much for them. I think it’s best to learn a lot about sapphires and their treatments before buying them.

You should come here for guidance before buying.

Why did you trust the seller?
I'd never buy a gem without a grading report.
Grading reports from legitimate labs protect buyers, especially we who are not experts.

Can you return them for a refund?

Thank you all for your replies, We only have $2 bucks in them total. We have 6 total. And I'll come here first from now on.

Are you joking? ... pulling our legs?
Six "gems" for 2 bucks.
That's 33 cents each.

Generally people on PS deal in gems that cost a bit more than 33 cents.

Have you heard the term, "You get what you pay for."?

They are not really “sapphires” as such, they are dyed corundum crystal, so ok for a bit of fun to look at, but nothing like gem sapphires.
If you want to buy gem quality sapphires you’ll be paying a lot more (like many hundreds even thousands per stone) and buy them from a reputable seller (not eBay!) and ones with a proper report.

Great, yes I understand, for 2 bucks we figured why not, I kinda figured such due to prices. But you never know. I deal mainly in silver, coins and classic cars, so this is a new venture. And no , we don't pull legs. But there's nothing wrong with learning new things.

Cool, good looking muscle. We mainly restore and tune classics, muscle etc. Currently working on a 55 1st series 5 window #3600 that was my wife's father's before his EOW in 81. Kinda doing a dedication to him and my father who retired as a leo in 99. We do have a 67 ford Fairlane 500 xl with 428cj and toploader. Actually looking for a 64-65 thunderchicken. Nice finding common interest here, kinda feel at home now. I'll upload some pics of rides when I get home.

Oh dear.......is that a '67 GTO Judge? My dad had one back in the day, and while it was really embarrassing to be with him when he was driving, it was pretty cool to drive when the stars aligned..............yes, I also own sapphires so technically just comparing valuable items
