I just got engaged and the ring is from a NY estate jeweler. I love the ring, but it came with no certificates. Tell me what you think!

It looks beautiful! Love the setting. :)

It is very lovely!

It's beautiful... (I'm no expert so that's all I have for you..) but can you put up more pictures and tell us about what they told you about it.. size, color, clarity?
The setting is fabulous... and it looks wonderful on your hand!!!!

I think it's gorgeous!

You should definitely get it appraised by someone knowledgable in old cuts to tell you what you've got. You'll need it to make sure their aren't any structural issues with the stone or setting (unlikely), for insurance purposes, and also just to make sure you paid a fair price.

I'm no expert either, but that looks like a pretty prime exampe of a gorgeous OEC you've got there and the setting is amazing too! I'd agree that it needs to be appraised by someone knowledgable in old cuts, for insurance info and piece of mind (to ensure that the stone is what you were told it is (size/color, etc.) and that you didn't grossly overpay)...would love some additional photos!

I love it  What were you told?

Beautiful ring - congrats! The stone looks to be white - what did the dealer tell you about carat weight, etc.?

That is a gorgeous ring, congratulations!

Congratulations on your engagement!! :appl: :wavey:

Your setting, the facet pattern etc is quite beautiful! I'm curious--what estate jeweler did you buy it from??

But we need more pictures, it is really gorgeous!!

Most old cuts aren't sent to grading labs so no worries! Just go to an independent appraiser so you know what you paid for!

Congratulations on your engagement. Your ring is lovely.

Looks gorgeous to me!!

I hope she returns back with all the specs. The ring is very pretty.
