My DH has given the go ahead to start shopping for my forever diamond.
We are both leaning toward a 1.5-2ct AC or OMC. I had fallen in love with a couple....I think...

however I was doing some more looking around today and I found these three...

All three have a larger spread with less ct weight than the first two I posted. Ok, I know that they are also much shallower than the first two stones, but I'm wondering just how much impact that will have on an antique cut. Will it make the stones look dark as it does with a modern round? Will it greatly reduce the light preformance? I feel in love with the antique cuts firstly because of the faceting patterns and secondly because of the big bold flashes of color, and would NOT be willing to sacrafice the performance.
I"ve browsed around PS and haven't had much luck finding any definitive answers. I reread this thread https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/gia-cushion-plots-demystified-somewhat-with-pics.63323/ and was left with more questions than answers.
I suppose what I really need is an Antique Cuts for Dummies handbook and a personal shopper.
There just doesn't seem to be any hard and fast answers to what ideal is in this particular cut?
Since this will be my forever ring, I really want to make sure that every aspect is exactly what I'm hoping and dreaming of. However if I can have a beautiful bright and lively stone at a smaller ct weight and larger spread and save thousands to put toward an amazing Van Craeynest setting....it would appear a no brainer. But I also realize that if it seems to good to be true than it probably is. I live in a very rural area and don't have many options of viewing these stones in person, so short of ordering the stones and viewing them first hand, it would appear I'm out of luck.
I know that there are many many beautiful AC and OMC here at PS and I'm wondering of any of you lucky ladies have a stone with a shallow depth such as the ones I listed, or if you have seen them personally and could give me your impression.
