My dd, Sylvia (an antique name, even!), will be confirmed in April. I want to get her a cross pendant as a gift. Initially I thought she’d want a new cross with her birthstone (sapph), but she surprised me this week and said that she’d like “the oldest cross you can find.” She goes with me to the antique markets and she searches for coins and keys while I browse the jewelry.
My big concern is durability and wearability. I’d like her to be able to actually have it as jewelry that doesn’t just sit in a box. She doesn’t care about metal color, and she’s aware that a truly old piece might look like the color of an old coin from her collection!
I’ve been browsing Ruby Lane... any other websites I should consider? Budget is about $300-$400.
Thank you for any and all ideas!
