This spess is yellowish orange. This is the most yellow that it gets.

I you have eagle eyes, you see the two tiny black inclusions almost at the tip of the stone. These can be seen through the table of the stone, when it glows, and they freaked me out the first time I saw them. Some of you may remember the thread.

You''ll laugh at me (my husband did), but I wanted to follow up on the black inclusion, for those interested. Here it is, barely noticeable. This is how it is mostly.

This is close to what I see when the stone glows neon, the inclusion is a bit more visible to my eyes than in this picture. I've used a tool called curves on the Gimp image manipulation program to change the color, otherwise the pic is unmanipulated. I've learned to like this inclusion, a piece of pepper, as someone here said :)

Sorry, MT, but I rather like those inclusions !

Not too big and it reminds that your stone is real. It adds atmosphere. Yep.

Wasn''t it you who brought up that you like a bit of pepper in your diamonds? Thank you for that perspective. That really turned my head around and reminded me I love inclusions in stones, as long as they add to the character of it. I love this stone, and now the inclusions just make it more special for me :)

I was also looking at yours, seriously thinking about buying it. How are you going to set yours? Mine is going into a lotus setting, I think it''s perfect for it

Reply clash, it seems! Not only are we spess buddies, we're time responding buddies too!

Works for me!

The lotus setting would be pretty, and should work well for the stone being that size. I look forward to seeing it in a few weeks, if you get it set ASAP. White gold or yellow gold?

As for mine, I've got no idea. I got a Barry ring resized yesterday, and it's going to get resized to J+1/4 (so, close to a US 5). So, based on that, I'm guessing my left hand size is a 4.5 or so. Which means my hoped for setting of this probably won't work on my fingers, or will be too busy. Suggestions welcome, but I'll probably add to my existing thread on that stone, rather than spread it along other people's.

(lets make it clickable, too!)

Oh wow Magenta, that is a stunning setting and would be so nice for that gem. I hope it works out somehow! I''ll dig up your other thread if I get any good ideas

For mine, I''m thinking yellow gold prongs, silver shank, but I''ll also ask Sally''s opinion when she gets it. I haven''t sent it yet, it''ll have to wait. I have four projects currently with Sally, and when they''re done, I''ll send this with a couple of other pretties. So much fun!

Ditto!!

Very pretty!! BTW, those black inclusions are probably maganese. My pear spess has them, but they are not visible to the naked eye (I can only see them with a loupe).
