I love asschers in a simple setting with tapered side baguettes, but maybe that won''t work for Danburite since it is a softer stone and needs a little protection? What about a delicate halo with pave?
PS: Can you please post some "real life" pictures of the stone? I am dying to see what those gorgeous asschers that Jeff cuts look like in non-professional photos...
Lol I might as well join in on the "I have a colored stone asscher that needs to be set" bandwagon too! I''m interested to hear the ideas people have for your Harriet!
I think it would be great set into a pendant. Something with a cute little diamond cascade and have it eventually end up at that stone. I think it would be exquisite!
Boy, I''ll be following this post! I''m getting an aqua asscher cut by Jeff. I was thinking about simple, classic, tapered baguettes, but I love the baguette halo with baguettes on the shoulders that Neatfreak just posted. I''ve really wanted a halo too, so that''s the best of both worlds as far as I''m concerned!
I think I would either go with a micropave halo with halvsies (.005) diamonds or with step-cut side stones. YG of course! Have you considered colored diamonds? Maybe a slim halo with yellow diamonds would give it a nice sparkle!
Thanks for the compliments. I don't want to halo the danburite because I'll be haloing a number of other stones. At 9.7 mm sq, it's pretty big. I'm not a pendant fan, but I like Alexis' suggestion. Dreamer, do you not know that I'm an infamously awful photographer? Ok, I'm just lazy.
Similar to what gemnut said I like step cut traps with Asschers in a three-stone ring but I think you said you were considering that for something else as well. So how about a five-stone ring e.g. traps and bullets, moons and bullets etc., optional pave band.
