Okay here is the deal. I''m debating between a size 9 and a 9.5 for my e-ring. Right now a 9.5 the I wear daily is spinning around my finger. I own a size 9 ring and it fits perfectly on my left hand (a bit loose on my right had). I have lost about 10 pounds (with many, many more to go) and I live up north where the weather is quite cool right now. So, which size should I go for? The 9 or 9.5?

Thanks

I''d go for the size 9 - especially if you think that you finger size may drop in the future

However, this will also depend on the style of e-ring you get. I find that I need to go up a little in size if I''m getting a wide ring for the ring to sit comfortably. For reference I have conically shaped fingers i.e my fingers slope evenly to the widest point at the base with no bulge at the joints.

Perhaps also consider a style that can be re-sized if needed?

It''s official, I told bf to get me a size 9. If it does need to be let out this summer (which I doubt because I''ll be much lighter by then), I''ll deal with it. Thanks bleeblue for your help.

Is this a large knuckle problem? If you have a large knuckle, have the jeweler solder in some sizing balls. Sizing balls are 1-1.5mm balls soldered inside the back part of the ring shank. They will help with seasonal finger size fluctuations and allow for the large knuckle.

If it is not a knuckle problem, the jeweler should be able to size the ring to quarter sizes.

It''s not a knucle problem. My ring size went up when I put on weight. Now that I''ve started to lose weight, my rings are looser already. That''s why I think I should be fine by the summer when the weather gets warmer. Thanks for the help :)

How about 9.25

I wore the size 9 ring that I own all day on my left hand to see how it felt. It felt fine, not marks or anything. It did turn a little, but nothing like the 9.5. I think that 9 should be fine.

It''s not unusual for people who lose a lot of weight to drop many ring sizes. So, eventually, I may end up being smaller than a 9.
