i agree that if the melee above the pear is the same size as the other melee bezel set is the way to go...it would look odd basket set at that size, but if you had a bigger stone put in there, then basket it.

Your necklace is beautiful.. It looks almost like Katie Holmes'' necklace, but hers has an halo pear..

Oh, I would say absolutely bezel it. It looks best that way imo b/c of the other bezel set stones...I think it''s beautiful...great design!

Ha ha!
I actually thought of haloing the pear, but decided not to
because of the cost. This little project wasn''t cheap!
But I did end up with a nice necklace, so this is a case of
you get what you pay for I suppose. WF''s quality is top knotch
and the little ACA''s are so sparkly.
I think at this point, I''ll just get WF to check on the
ring between the pear and the bezeled RB. It needs more swing!

Enlarge the bail and pave it, like the celeb photo above. That will give the pear more pop and movement.
