Another newbie question

Okay, I think I''ve learned that diamond ''melee'' refers to a lot of small diamonds. My question is does it mean that a person buys a lot of small diamonds in different sizes? I''d like to buy a lot of tiny ones for a project that I may be working on soon but I don''t want them in different sizes. The next question is where would I find them? Thanks for everyone''s help.
