So it seems we need to ask whether these neony and glowy blue green beauties are Paraiba Paraibas or Mozambique Paraibas before making a purchase.
Actually, since Paraiba Paraibas are so rare, I always assume that what I am seeing are Mozambique Paraibas. I wonder if others take the same approach.

I guess this goes back to the very same terms that''s being used to describe coloured stones: ceylon coloured sapphires, Burmese red rubies, etc. I suppose origin does matter but only to a certain degree. What''s the point of having a Brazilian paraiba that''s tiny, all included and not as neon versus a top Moz cuprite that is larger, very clean and glows like the dickens? It''s all in the semantics and $$$.
